Students of Zorkor Senior High School demand dismissal of School Matron as they accuse her of stealing School Food stuff

An agitation has started “growing up” at the Zorkor Senior High School in the Bongo district of the Upper East Region, as students there and some Tutors are demanding for the immediate dismissal of the School Matron, as she was spotted by some students, taking food stuff belonging to the school to a location outside campus.

Narrating the story to A1 News, on Tuesday, December 4, a female student (named withheld) said her Course mates on Friday evening, November 30, after supper, saw their School Matron leaving the School compound with a loaded “motor-king” full of maize and other food stuffs, believed to be cooking oil, following her.
“…on Friday, after supper, some of my Course mates were going to their various dormitories when they saw a ‘Motor-King’ full of maize and other food stuffs which they suspect was Cooking Oil, following the car of the Matron. As they tried stopping her, she drove away, leaving the “Motor-King” rider.

They managed to stop and command him to send the food back to the Store. He did so with explanations that, he was following orders by the Matron.”
As a result of that, majority of the students since then, refused to eat food coming from the school kitchen or dinning hall with claims that, she ( the Matron) might poison them as they demand her immediate dismissal from the school.
“We will not eat food coming from the kitchen because we feared she might poison us as we demand her immediate dismissal.”

The Authorities of the School has formed a Committee to investigate the case to ascertain the truth and make recommendation by the close of Friday, December 7, 2018.
