‘Start packing out, we’re coming for our seat’ – Agbana to Boniface Siddique

Deputy National Youth Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Edem Agbana has said the party will recapture the Madina Constituency seat from Alhaji Boniface Abubakar Siddique in the 2020 general elections.
He has therefore cautioned the MP who is a former Inner City and Zongo Development Minister not to dedicate his resources to campaign ahead of the parliamentary polls, stressing the NDC will leave no stone unturned in bid to winning the elections.
“Madina Constituency, we are coming back for our seat. Eye zu! Eye Zu! …the NPP MP for this area, Boniface Siddique, if you have his number, tell him to start packing out of Parliament because in 2020,the NDC will come back our seat,” Edem Agbana said to the more than thousand NDC members of the Madina Constituency after a health walk.
Agbana believes the MP who made his way to the Madina constituency after he lost the 2012 parliamentary elections in the Salaga South Constituency in the Northern region is taken the constituents for granted.
He has pledged to do whatever it takes to help the constituency recapture its lost seat.
In 2016, Mr Siddique defeated the NDC’s incumbent MP, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho after securing 54.98% of the votes.
The former MP for the constituency, Alhaji Sorogho says he will not contest again, and has pledged his support for any candidate who will win the party’s primary.
Addressing the party supporters after the ‘Madina Victory 2020 walk’ on Saturday,he said the party members “must unite at all cost” and drive the party’s agenda toward the reclamation of the parliamentary seat.
