Wrong personal details caused delay in NABCO payment – NABCO CEO

The Chief Executive Officer in charge of the Nation Builder Corps (NABCO) Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has stated that the initial delays in paying beneficiaries their Ghc 700.00 monthly stipends was as a result of wrong information given by some of the beneficiaries about themselves.

He made the pronouncement on Friday on A1 Radio on the morning show; Daybreak Upper East.

“We have a schedule of payments and what has been happening is that, some people had issues with their personal details at the starts of the application. So they would have entered wrong E-zwich numbers; they would have entered E-zwich numbers that do not belong to them and belong to other people.

For example, in November want to pay someone called for example, Aziz Abdulai and as we are trying to pay him and the person’s name changes to Sherifa Alhassan. So which one should we paid. At that moment, the correction has to done, before payment can be done.” He explained

However, Dr. Anyars further stated that due to such difficulty experienced during payment, they did the assumption of duty in February 2019 which allows beneficiaries to updates their records. So with the assumption of duty, it will actually show that you are the same person found on NABCO records.

He is confident that after that exercise, the head office has a good inner database to generate a master list for payment, the reason why payment was halted for some months ago. According to him, issues of this nature have been addressed and henceforth beneficiaries will be receiving their monthly stipends accordingly.
