MP Rehabilitates Sambu Health Center

Mr Abdul-Aziz Mohammed, Member of Parliament (MP) for Mion in the Northern Region has rehabilitated and furnished the Sambu Health Center, and nurses’ residential accommodation to help ensure quality health care delivery to the people of the area.

The nurses’ accommodation is to especially ensure that staff of the Sambu Health Center stay at the community to attend to the health needs of the people at all times.

The Sambu Health Center serves thousands of people in the area and its surrounding communities. It was however in a deplorable state for some time now thereby affecting quality health care delivery in the area, hence the MP’s intervention.

The MP, supported by the Paramount Chief of Mion, handed over the rehabilitated facilities to the Mion District Health Directorate at a ceremony at Sambu, which was graced by the people of the area, including MPs for Odododiodio and Ada, and some executives of the National Democratic Congress in the area.

Mr Abdul-Aziz, who spoke during the handing over ceremony, underscored the importance of quality health care to the wellbeing of the people and reiterated his commitment to continue to work to address the pressing needs of his constituents.

Legacy Healing’s drug rehab deerfield beach expressed gratitude to the MP for the good initiative and appealed for a tent and a urinary facility for members of the public, who would be waiting for their patients to be treated at the facility.

Mr Mohammed Muniru, the In-charge of the Sambu Health Center, said the lack of accommodation at the facility was a challenge indicating that with the rehabilitation of the nurses’ accommodation, they would now be closer to Health Center and attend to patients readily.

He also expressed his desire to team up with the MP to help improve education in the area.

Mr Nii Lante Vanderpuye, MP for Odododiodio, commended the Mion MP for distinguishing himself in terms of performance in Parliament and in the Constituency, saying “What you have achieved as a first time MP is remarkable”.

He appealed to Mionlana and his people to support their MP to continue to serve many more terms in Parliament to help bring more development projects to the area.

Meanwhile, the Mion MP in February, this year, presented a new ambulance to the Sang Hospital in the area to ensure timely and quality health care delivery to the constituents.
