The Member of Parliament for the Wa Central Constituency Honorable Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpuo has donated training equipment and a cash amount of GH¢2000.00 to the leadership of retired footballers Association in the upper west region.
The Honorable Member of Parliament made the donation on his visit to the constituency during the Christmas break after a brief request from the Association.
The brief ceremony saw Doctor Rashid Pelpuo providing set of jerseys, footballs, assorted drinks and an amount of GH¢2000.00 to facilitate the administration of the Association.
Leader of the retired footballer, Aseidu, received the items on behalf of his colleagues and thanked the former Sports minister for his gesture as they prepare to broaden the horizon of the Association.
A friendly match between the Wa based retired footballers and their colleagues in the Sissala will be staged in the latter stages of this month at the Wa Sports stadium.
