"Let's encourage our children to be bold" Upper East Regional Minister

Upper East Regional Minister, Paulina Abayage has challenged Teachers and Parents to address children in a way that will encourage them to build up their confidence.

According to her many children lack confidence and as a result are not able to move forward to grab opportunities that come their ways.

“The way we talk to our children at home and even at school can go a long way to dampen their spirit and that can affect them even told their adulthood. If we tell them that they are good and can achieve anything they want to achieve in live, they will grow with that knowledge and feeling that they are not inferior. Let’s encourage them to dream big and attempt doing greater things, even at their young age, they can grow with that character.”

Hon. Paulina Abayage was addressing Teachers and Parents who accompanied some 500 children for a party at the residency in Bolgatanga.

Majority of the children were enthused to as they toured the Regional Minister’s residence ahead of the party and were inspired to learn harder to occupy the position in future.

According to the Regional Minister, this and many other reason motivated her to invite 500 children from deprived and endowed schools to the party.

“When children come together they learn from each other and get inspiration from each other to learn and to build up their self esteem. If we get sponsorship we will do it annually to entertain the children and get them to interact with the Regional Minister and Departmental Head.”

Some Teachers and Parents at the party were happy that their children were selected to be with the Minister and prayed that it becomes an annual event by the Regional Coordinating Council.
