I never take decision and and regret – Coach Kwesi Appiah

Ghanaian coach, James Kwesi Appiah, has started that he never regrets anything he does and very obvious that these actions include his decision to change the captain of Ghana’s Black Stars Team.

Since the news about a possible change in the Captainship of the Black Star Team, Ghanaians have been expressing varying views over the matter, with some saying Asamoah Gyan should be allowed to captain the team to the June Tournament, while others do not see the problem with the change, especially when Asamoah Gyan will not be available for selection after this tournament.

Asamoah Gyan is reported to have issued a statement about how he feels about the change. The Black Stars Coach and a former player of the team, Kwesi Appiah has also been speaking about on the same matter and others.

Kwesi Appiah : “In terms of regret I never regret anything that I do, you see see that’s why I believe it’s not just about Kwesi Appiah alone assessing any player and there are some positions we all know, like the striking role you know, sometimes the name alone does not count sometimes. You need to take some tough decisions and you go on with the team and along the line. Sometimes you except to see so much from a player and you don’t which is all part of the game, so as a coach sometimes you take some risk and it doesn’t work. Sometimes you take some risk and it works, so there are so many things that as a coach you look and sit back and assess yourself.”

The authoritarian coach is burnt on enforcing his decision as he prepared to take on Africa a few weeks away from now. James Kwesi Appiah has been tasked by the Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association to win the 32rd edition AFCON to end the over 30 years of failed attempts.

It’s been over 30 years since Ghana ever won the African Cup of Nations Tournament and indications are that, if the Black Stars fail to win this year’s edition, the coach will be sacked.
