The former Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament on the ticket of the People National Convention (PNC), David Apasara has revealed his interest of contesting in future elections, if the people of his constituency want him to represent them again.
Mr. Apasara was first elected MP in 2000 and was retained in 2004 but lost the seat in the 2008 elections to the NDC’s candidate, Emmanuel Akolbire Opam-Brown.
Since he lost power in 2008, he is not been too active as usual.
Speaking on A1 Radio’s Daybreak Upper East show, Mr. Apasara stated that, he has an intention to contest as a Member of Parliament in future but stressed that, his intentions depends on the people.
“But my intentions are depending on the people, if the people indicates to me that they still needs my service, example by saying they have had a number of MP’s, so they have a chance to compare and if they compare and still think am a good material, certainly, I will come back why not.” He stressed
According to the former MP, seeing him on a ballot paper in a future election on the ticket of PNC shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, because politicians do not retire.
