Even before the process to convert the campuses of the University for Development Studies into autonomous universities ends, President Nana Akufo Addo has named the Navrongo campus of the university in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality in the Upper East Region after C.K Tedam.
Once the process is over and the separation is done, the Navrongo campus of the University for Development Studies will be called C.K. Tedam University for Technical and Applied Sciences.
Nana Akufo Addo made the announcement over the weekend at Paga in the Kessena-Nankana West District where the late C.K. Tedam was laid to rest.
The former Council of State member and stateman died in April 2019 in Accra at the age of 94.

The late C.K. Tedam contributed immensely to the spreading of education to various parts of the Kassena-Nankana area and left indelible marks of excellence in the education sector in Northern Ghana.

A native of Paga and member of the National Media Commission, Ben Assorrow believes that, C.K. Tedam deserves the honour done him and urged the younger generation to work harder and emulate his selflessness of C.K. Tedam as well as his love for Ghana till his death.
