Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s Visit To Upper East Was “Waste Of Our Time” — NPP

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper East Region has downplayed the essence of the campaign tour by running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flag bearer, Professor, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to the region.

The NPP described Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s visit as unnecessary and waste of time since she failed to convince electorates on the competence of the NDC to govern the country if given the nod.

Speaking on A1 Radio’s Daybreak Upper East, NPP regional director of communications Sanusi Issah, said, the NDC’s running mate failed to convince electorates of their policies to transform the lives of Ghanaians.

“The NDC running mate Prof. Naana Opouku-Agyemang coming to the region was just a waste of time and energy. She has not succeeded in inspiring even a single woman, because listening her, we were excepting to hear was just something may be a major policy that is going to be a game changer.

So, she’s coming to the region and succeeded in wasting our time and energy, we were expecting her to give us a gist of what the NDC as a political party intends to do as a major game changer policy but we haven’t heard of that”.

But Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress Abraham Lambon debunked the assertion that, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s visit was a waste of time, adding that, her visit was a clear signal that, the NDC was repositioned to win power in the December polls.

“This shows a clear indication that, the party is on its way back to power. We had interaction with market women, traders, chiefs and students. So, everywhere we went in the region, people are expressing their excitement, people are ready to kick off the Nana Addo government’s because the incompetent government has come and failed the people especially our mothers”.
