Church of Pentecost launches environmental care campaign


Church of Pentecost in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region has launched an Environmental Care Campaign as one its programmes in partnership with the state dubbed Vision 2023.

According to the Church, it focus this year is on Creation Care and it has developed various strategies to run a campaign on Environmental Care under the slogan, Environmental Care, My Responsibility.

Speaking to the media after the launch at the Bolgatanga main market during a cleanup exercise by Church members, the Bolgatanga Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Wilberforce Nkrumah Agyeman said one of the ways to engage party vigilantism is to deploy them as Sanitation Guards on the streets and Communities to ensure proper disposal of waste instead using them to cause mayhem.

The Upper East Regional Manager of Zoomlion, John Sackey said the major challenge that militates against cleaner environment is the attitude of the Ghanaians.
