N/R: Four MDCEs involved fatal accident

Four Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Northern Region have been involved in a fatal road accident on the Tamale – Accra highway on Monday morning.

The Gushegu Municipal Chief Executive, Bimbila Municipal Chief, Mion District Chief Executive and Zabzugu District Chief Executive were in one vehicle in a convoy traveling to Wa in the Upper West region on a government assignment to join President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo launch the Rearing for Food and Jobs flagship programme.

Information gathered by A1 News indicates the accident happened after the Datoyili police checkpoint, outskirt of Tamale.

The Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Salifu Saeed explained to A1 News Northern Regional Correspondent, Mohammed Gadafi that, a saloon car traveling from Accra to the Northern Region veered off the road and collided with the vehicle of MMDCEs.
