Obuasi Ashantigold finally had something to smile about as they defeated  Wa All Stars by a lone goal at the Obuasi Len Clay sports stadium. Safiu Mumuni scored  the only goal of the game after 30 minutes.
It has been a turbulent season so far for Ashgold with only 3 wins all season and staring relegation in the face. They have had to spent most part of the season at the bottom half of the table having parted ways with their manager Bashir Hayford  and replacing him with C.K.Akunnor.
This vital win has lifted them  off the bottom of the table into 15th place but after the first round of matches the 2015 Ghana premier league winners still find themselves in the relegation zone.
