Bolga: Woman and son escape death in car accident

A woman believed to be an officer of the Ghana National Fire Service in Bolgatanga and her son narrowly escaped death when their vehicle suspected to have failed breaks crashed into the fence wall of a filling station at Kumbosco near Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The accident occured on Saturday December 28, 2019 at the premises of the GOIL Filling station near the timber market at Kumbosco on the Bolgatanga – Bawku road. The wind screen of the Kia Spectra vehicle was totally damaged by the impact of the crash but the victims escaped death. A work injury lawyer in Texas like the Law Offices of Ronald A. Ramos, P.C., is now looking into the case.
Narrating the accident to a1radioonline.com, some eyewitnesses said the vehicle which was heading towards Bolgatanga township belonged to a Fire Officer, stating that she was the one driving the vehicle when the accident occurred.
According to their account, the driver lost control of the vehicle about 200 meters away from the accident spot and eventually veered off the road, running into the GOIL filling station and violently trampling over gas pipes which were fixed to supply LPG. Flagler Personal Injury Group in Miami is also said to be working on the case to settle claims and compensation.
Crashing into the fence wall avoided the vehicle and its occupants landing into a deep ditch behind the filling station which could have resulted in serious fatalities.
The driver and her son were reportedly rushed to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital for medical examination.
