6 fuel stations found cheating customers with unapproved calibrations in Upper East Region



The Ghana Standards Authority says it has identified six fuel stationsĀ in the Upper East Region which are involved in cheating customers at the pump.

According to the Authority, routine checks and investigations it has conducted revealed these six fuel stations using unapproved calibrations to cheat customers and have since been fined.

Speaking on ā€˜Daybreak Upper East’ on A1 Radio, the Upper East Regional Manager of the Ghana Standards Authority, Thomas Asolmiah said he could not make available the affected stations but customers should be assured that his outfit is working to ensure rules and regulations on fuel dispensing are abided by.

The response was necessitated by investigations by the Ghana Standard Authority in Accra that revealed that 10 fuel stations were consciously cheating the public with unapproved pump calibrations.
