It is widely believed among entertainers and audience across the world that “beefing” other artistes sometimes helps to revive a dying entertainment career. In Ghana there have been cases and people can easily mention.
In recent times something like “beefing” seem to be existing between Ga rapper Tinny and one time King of the street and Fante rapper Kwaw Kese. It is not clear if it is personal and genuine fight or just a beef to gain public attention.
Tinny and Kwaw Kese were among the hit names in Ghana, Nigeria and other West African countries and made the headlines in some years back. These two, direct their songs and lyrics towards the youth, unfortunately many of the youth who dance easily to songs and follow hit artistes do not find the two interesting anymore. Maybe because Tinny and Kwaw Kese have been off the scene for sometime.
For a week and half now the two rappers have been calling each others bad names, probably to prove that one is better in rapping than the other.
On Monday 29 April 2019, on the Facebook page of the Ga Rapper, Tinny, a post there said: “funny to hear Kwaw Kese saying he’s gonna slap me when we meet. Eeeeee sane eee! waaaa mmmm! I know he’s frustrated.”
The Ga rapper used his page also advised Kwaw Kese to do his homework well and progress as he made most noise.
“By chance he made some hits back then, but because he doesn’t have a career, greed led him into dating an old woman so he can survive; buying of awards for him among others….”
Tinny explained that he simply shared his view on an interview that Kwaw Kese had, by saying Kwaw Kese is a wack rapper and expected him(Kwaw Kese) to prove him(Tinny) wrong by releasing hits or better still call for a challenge since they are both rappers.
Tinny did not get what he wanted or was expecting, instead, Kwaw Kese according to Tinny went on radio and spoke bad about him, to the extent of saying he (Kwaw Kese ) will slap him.
“I over heard him saying that, at my age I’m still living in my mother’s house with my kids. Yes!!! It’s because my mother lived a good life so she have properties. I’m enjoying from my responsible parent’s hard work. Besides it’s not my style to be posting everything on social media…. I have this and that”. He ended.
Indeed, A1 News hope to see an end to such behavior as it further divides up and coming artists in various forms.
