Why has Wiyaala moved back home?

She calls herself the lioness of Africa and has toured the world performing of some of the most prized stages in Europe.

The Upper West regional born Afro-Pop singer, Wiyaala, has now braved the odds relocating from Accra, the national capital to live in the village where she grew up, Funsi in the Wa West District.

The 34-year-old already has a street named after her there.

Wiyaala is also building a cultural theatre in Funsi and training the village’s next generation to sing and dance.
