Twenty-three years old Rabiatu Zinlim Sunka was in the wee hours of Sunday pinnacled the queen of the Miss Upper East 2019 beauty pageant. She beat other 12 ladies to the coveted price.

Advocating the eradication of early child marriage especially among women as a project, she delivered eloquently to win almost all other categories including the star performer for the night.
Other awards were the Miss Influence on Social Media, Miss Culture, Miss Catwalk and the overall beauty queen.

She walks away with lots of prizes including a brand new Apsonic motorcycle, an ambassadorial role for NORA, free website and domain, free hair braid for a year, shopping vouchers and many others from the sponsors.
Six contestants were evicted prior to the final performance which was to talk about their individual projects.
Aburi from the Tempane District came as the second runner up and Taaliga from Garu finished as the first runner up.

This year’s theme was Advancing Peace Building Unity and Development in the Upper East region.
