[dropcap]B[/dropcap]awku (U/E) – Mr Issaku Bukari, the Bawku Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has said the Assembly generated GH₵791,964.80 from its investments, representing about 144 percent of the estimated revenue for the year which stood at GH₵548,025.00.

He said the Assembly focused more on promoting quality health, education and Agriculture and would continue to give those areas priority focus this year.
Mr Bukari was speaking at the first ordinary session of the Assembly held at Bawku.
On employment, he said, five modules of the National Youth Agency (NYA) have been rolled out including community policing, Fire Service, Prisons Service, community teaching and youth in environment.

The Assembly generated GH₵791,964.80 from its investments, representing about 144 percent of the estimated revenue for the year which stood at GH₵548,025.00.

This, he said, would not only engage the youth and give them a chance to help in the development process but would also make them responsible people in the society.
The MCE commended the Bawku Inter-Ethnic Peace Committee for their effort at ensuring peace in the area and called on the people to see one another as partners in development.
Mr David Adoliba, the presiding member of the Assembly, called on members to work towards peace before, during and after the November general elections.
He said peace is the only tool that could bring uniform development to the country and the West African sub-Region.
Mr Adoliba urged all the members to support the implementation of government policies as that would deepen the decentralization concept and give the ordinary person a chance to actively participate in the decision making process.
The presiding member urged the assembly members to spread the peace message to people in the various electoral areas.
