Jonas Dery Abesig popularly known as Abesig(stage name) is a young artiste from Kokoligu in the Nandom Municipal in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He started his music ambition right from Damongo SHS in 2019.
He has won several awards including popular song of the year and best music video of the year awards at the Upper West Creative Arts (UWeCA) awards night in 2020.
He was spotted by Burkinabe music and culture promotors and has since performed on more than 19 occasions.
Abesig sings mostly in Dagaare, English, and French and his fans are called Abesigators, plural and singular as an Abesigator.
