After a convincing victory over Democratic Republic of Congo, the host nation Egypt booked a place In the next round after the Wednesday night match in Cairo.

Egypt booked their place with 2 goals after the team had won its first match with a slim margin.

Goals from skipper Ahmed El-Mohamady and Mohammed Salah saw Egypt take maximum points to move top of Group A with six points.

At this point the Egyptians have every right to live in their dream world where the excitement linger from now till the end of the tournament. Many Egyptians are looking forward to the fulfilment of the host and win dream.

Nigeria were the first to qualify after beating beating Guinea 1-0 in Alexandria to go through, the host nation followed suit and progressed. DR Congo have lost two consecutive games and are on the verge of leaving the competition.

It is no doubt that the Phoroahs of Egypt are in for a host and win looking at the quality of play and seriousness exhibited in both games played so far.
