Mr Edward Sabo Laabiir, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wa West in the Upper West, has cut sod for the construction of an eleven-kilometre road.
The eleven-kilometer road when constructed would include a two-kilometer road from Buli to Maasoteng, seven-kilometer from Torkali to Dodoma and two-kilometer road from Gurungu junction to Motori.
The contractor, Dabila Ghana Company Limited, is expected to complete the project within six (6) weeks at a cost of 179,660.00 Ghana Cedis.
The project is funded by the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) under the Ministry for Special Development Initiative.
The DCE told Radio Progress on the 1st of February,2019 that the construction of the road would facilitate the movement of goods and services if completed.
Some residents at Motori speaking to Radio Progress expressed gratitude to the district assembly for hearing to their plea.
