John Paintsil confirms Wa All Stars takeover

Former Ghana and Fulham defender John Paintsil and his partners have started the process of taking over Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars.
This comes on the back of months of negotiations between the involved parties.
Reports of the takeover initially surfaced in January 2019 but was denied emphatically by Wa All Stars at the time.
The club owned and bankrolled by embattled former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi is in the process of finalizing legal procedure to enable the takeover to be completed.

He personally confirmed the takeover in a statement.
