DCE assures Bongo Hospital of an Ambulance in first quarter of 2019

Unlike the usual merry making with party members, family and friends during festive seasons, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bongo, Peter Ayinbisa opted to display his cooking skills on the New Year Day by preparing food by himself for staff and patients at the Bongo District Hospital in the Upper East Region.

The DCE in the company of NPP Bongo Constituency Executives in addressing the Staff of the Hospital, indicated that, he saw it appropriate to rather observe the New Year Day with them on grounds that, they have contributed massively towards the improvement of the Health Sector in the district, which needed to be appreciated. And by so doing, he decided to feast with them in his own little way.

Mr. Ayinbisa used the opportunity to assure the health professionals that 2019 was a year of action hence, his government was bent on improving their working conditions.

“I can tell you that, 2019 would be an action year hence, by the first quarter of 2019 your hospital would receive an ambulance to handle referral cases whiles other health facilities would be expanded like the Namoo Health facility, to ease the burden on you.” He assured.

The “workaholic” DCE who is undoubtedly the best appointees in the region, also used the occasion to reiterate that, it was the commitment of the Nana Addo led government to have an ultra modern mortuary constructed to take care of expired cases which is currently housed in a zinc structure causing dead bodies to decay within hours.

He further urged the staff of the hospital to continue with their good work for the District. The DCE shared the “Jollof-rice” he has prepared with the Staff of the hospital and and proceeded to the various wards and did same for the patients.

Mr. Ayinbisa wished them well for the year 2019 and appealed that, they should remain resolute and optimistic, as his government was working hard to improve the livelihood of Ghanaians.

However, the Bongo District Hospital Administrator, Bentie Abubakr extended gratitude to the DCE and his entourage and promised that, his outfit would put its ethical medical practice to play, to ensure that patients admitted at the facility receive the best of treatment.

Meanwhile, this is the first of its kind a political head of the region or district has extended such a gesture on a festive season at a Health facility.
