Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources launches website, service charter

The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has launched its official website and the Service Charter of the Ministry to facilitate easy access to information by the public.
The Service Charter is also a document, which set out the Mission and Vision of the Ministry, its core values, functions, goals and the services its Agencies provide.
The website, www.mlnr.gov.gh, features information about the Ministry and its Agencies such as the Minerals Commission, Forestry Commission, Lands Commission and Geological Survey Department as well as other relevant information, which would benefit the public.
Mr Nii Osah Mills, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, said the website was designed to serve as an interactive platform with its agencies and serve as information aid to the public.
He said in 2011, Cabinet gave a directive that the Ministry should establish a project management portal to form the basis for government agencies to provide information to the public, hence the need for the website.
Mr Osah Mills encouraged the Agencies to actively patronise the website and share information that would be beneficial to the Ministry and the public.
He noted that the website would be active and lively as it would be updated frequently to suit the public.
